We farm using low-impact, sustainable practices designed to support long-term land health and soil vitality. Our agricultural methods emphasize natural soil building, dry farming, succession planting, and polyculture. We have an appreciation for current research, and measurable outcomes.
We cultivate a curated ecosystem palette that includes native plants, pollinator-friendly species, edible and ecological restoration plants, and select ornamental varieties. Our work does not just take place in a greenhouse. We assess and test cultivar performance in natural growing conditions for multiple seasons. We do this to have applied knowledge of our plants. Given our localized farming model, we aim to sell plants that are strong performers in this climate. We do not ship plants around the country. We live and farm in Michigan—and believe our expertise is best suited for Michigan landscapes.
Gardens are not static spaces. Part of enjoying the garden is seeing birds, pollinators and animals foraging. We curate plants with the goal of fostering beautiful, vibrant, useful, and naturally entertaining landscapes.
